Aki Niseko
Aki Niseko
Aki Niseko are a rare collection of just 11 brand new ultra-luxury private onsen villas superbly located in the heart of the prestigious international enclave of Upper Hirafu Village. The homes are nestled in a self-contained, over 10,000 sqm alpine estate, and form a private sanctuary within the thriving bustle of Niseko.
From the superb location, only a few minutes’ walk from the slopes; to being one of the last developments to be granted an onsen license in the Hirafu area; coupled with the understatedly-luxurious interior design, not seen elsewhere in the village; to the intuitive white-gloved service, Aki Niseko is one of the resort’s most exclusive communities.

Framed by spectacular mountain vistas, the four-storey onsen villas at Aki Niseko were designed to provide a contemporary contrast, not only to the surroundings, but to every other development in the area. Outside, undulating Japanese-inspired louvers are inspired by the powder snow drifts and finished with elegant black stone. Within, expansive spaces utilise natural wood for a fusion Japanese aesthetic.
Aki Niseko has been conceived by some of Japan’s most respected developer, architect, design and construction teams; Takuetsu Co., Ltd (developer), Land Architects Co., Ltd (Architects), NOMURA Co., Ltd (Interior Design), Civil Consultant ( NIKKEN SEKKEI Ltd) and Shintaiheiyo Co., Ltd (Civil Construction Company).

No expense was spared in creating the ultimate slope-side sanctuary at Aki Niseko. Within each 400-plus-square-metre, five-ensuite bedroom villa, finely curated furniture, art-infused fixtures and designer-appliances imbue the spaces with elegance. Careful consideration was also given to temper the luxury with an aura of serenity through ample natural lighting, sound proofing and nature-integrated features.
Nothing says luxury quite like your private, roof-top onsen with perfectly heated, 41ºC mineral-rich spring waters tapped from the land, exclusively for your pleasure.

Aki Niseko was built as much for spring, summer and autumn as it was for winter, with built-in air-conditioning to refresh you during the warmer months; heating to create cosiness on long winter days; and humidifiers for all-round comfort. Niseko is very much a year-round resort with plenty to do in the summer as well as in the winter months. The ski season is longer than at many resorts and typically lasts from November through April, with exceptional ski-friendly power blown across the Sea of Japan from Siberia. Unlike many ski resorts worldwide, Niseko has no need for artificial snow-makers, such is the reliability of snow each year.
Niseko United, comprising the 4 resorts that make-up the destination, has 50.8 Kms of slopes of which 44% are classified Blue, 36% red and 20% Black. The longest run is 7.4 Kms with an elevation difference of 933 metres. There are runs above and below the treeline, and a snow fun park for the children. Night skiing is also available.

Summer temperatures in Niseko average a sunny 21 degrees Celsius making for pleasant conditions for all sorts of outdoor activities. Golf is particularly popular in the summertime and there are four gold golf courses between Mt Annupuri and Mt Yotei: Hanazono, A-Brand, Niseko Village and Niseko. Altogether there are 119 golf courses in Hokkaido, many of which are in the list of the ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in Asia”.
