Bang Na - Samrong

Bang Na - Samrong
The Bang Na - Samrong residential neighborhood has seen rapid growth in recent years both in the number of residential developments and commercially since the BTS (Skytrain) was extended to Bang Na, Bearing and Samrong Stations. The neighborhood includes the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) and large shopping centers such as Megabangna and Central Plaza Bangna.
Location
Stretching along Sukhumvit Road from Bang Na-Trat Tollway to Thepharak Road and eastward toward Suvarnabhumi International Airport, this area will see an increase in growth in the coming years with more and more investment and development in infrastructure. Some upcoming projects include the Yellow Line MRT extension due for completion in 2023, which will be a 30.4 km extension providing residents in this neighborhood a way to easily connect from BTS Samrong to Lat Phrao in North Bangkok.
Additionally, plans are currently being considered to connect BTS Bangna to Suvarnabhumi airport through a Light Rail line, an ambitious 18.5 km line running along the Bang Na-Trat Road with 14 stations making the already easily accessible Suvarnabhumi Airport through the Bang Na-Trat tollway even easier to get to.
Connecting the Bang Na - Samrong neighborhood to the eastern seaboard and encouraging traffic and visitors to the area, the relocation of the Eastern Bus Terminal from Ekkamai to the Bang Na area would further invigorate this already bustling district.
